Who is this guy, anyway?
When asked where he was born and raised, Bernie Moran’s response is
a bedroom community immediately north of New York County; which few
really know. Manhattan (being a borough and also one of New York City’s
five counties) is New York County. 
That bedroom community immediately north
is the Bronx. In 1932 deep into the Great Depression. Of Irish and Italian
parents. Moran
is a product of the Catholic schools through college (broken up in the 50s
by 4 years in the Navy), He graduated college with a BA in English.
He entered the aerospace industry at it’s lowest clerical level. His ability to articulate and write plus immediately recognizable negotiating skills at age 31 saw him selected to the management team on the Lunar Module Program of Project Apollo. (Moran wrote and negotiated the first contract for the Descent Engine for Apollo’s Lunar Module.) He went on to receive an MA in Management and spent thirty five years managing ‘the business end’ of over 3 Billion in advanced technology contracts.
Married to ‘great women’ with whom he says ‘God blessed him in spite of himself,’ with eight children and eighteen grandchildren.
Over the years he ‘ wrote for fun’ a novel and a collection of short stories.
Semi-retired, but never from writing, he lives in Doylestown,
PA, ‘and tells stories.’
